The Spring Semester has started and it is all go at CIEE Research Station Bonaire. The J-Term students have completed their course and the new semester brings in new staff and students from around the world. January is a Time for Adventure

January is a Time for Adventure

The first three weeks of January were action packed and full of adventure for the four university students attending CIEE Research Station Bonaire’s second ever J-term program. The goal of the J-term program is to produce competent and safe underwater scientists with an emphasis on coral reef field collection methods. To accomplish this goal the students go through our “SCUBA bootcamp”; our Advanced SCUBA and our Marine Ecology Field Research Methods courses.

A New Year brings New Staff

A New Year brings New Staff

Fadilah Ali is the Tropical Marine Conservation Biology Faculty for CIEE and co-teaches Independent Research. She is an ecologist with a specialty in invasive species biology, control and management. Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, she has a Masters degree in Environmental Science with a focus on Biodiversity and Conservation and is currently completing her PhD in Ocean and Earth Sciences at the University of Southampton in England.
