TROPICAL MARINE ECOLOGY AND CONSERVATION                                                      June 2015

It's hot in Bonaire!

by Dr. Patrick Lyons

This summer we’re busier than ever at CIEE Research Station Bonaire. We’re running a 4-week SCUBA/research methods program, a 4-week ecology/conservation program, an 8-week intensive research program, two 3-week high school programs, and a 3-week program on sharks with the Junior Rangers. On top of this, the academic staff travelled to Curaçao to attend the biannual meeting of the Association of the Marine Labs of the Caribbean. Several staff presented their research, which was well received! Needless to say, the staff of CIEE are excited about all the cool education, research, and outreach happening and we hope you enjoy reading about it in this newsletter.
